So, what's this all about?

"Star Trek: Just Ad Nauseum" is an homage/parody featuring the original Star Trek characters: Kirk, Spock, the whole gang. I wrote it. The script is original, but all the visuals will be repurposed and remixed from DVDs of the old 1970s-era Star Trek cartoon.

Making any film is labor intensive, and animation can be especially so. But many hands can make light work, so the plan is to recruit animators and other talented collaborators, and divvy the labor up into bite-size pieces.

"Just Ad Nauseum" is more than a film, it's an experiment in collaboration with the end goal being the creation of a virtual animation studio that could work together on future projects.

Currently I need script feedback, voice talent, Photoshoppers and animators. Animators are free to use Final Cut, AfterEffects, ToonBoom Studio, or whatever software you're comfortable with. UPDATE - January 2011

This project is on hiatus. My plan of crowdsourcing a crack team of volunteer animators turns out to be a bigger challenge than I'd thought. I still think the script is hilarious, and maybe I'll get back to it eventually. Paying gigs & spec scripts seem like a better use of my time right now. Feel free to sign up. Maybe we can achieve critical mass and get this rolling again.
